Tax Collector:

NOTICE is hereby given that I, the undersigned Collector of Taxes in and for the Town of Otego, Otsego County, State of NY, have received the tax roll and warrant for collection of taxes for the year 2021.  I will be receiving payments at the Municipal Building, 3526 State Highway 7, P.O. Box 468, Otego NY 13825, January through April 2021.
Take further notice that taxes may be paid on or before January 31, 2021 (postmark) without penalty or interest.  On all taxes postmarked after such date, there shall be a penalty of 12% per annum.  Penalty shall be calculated per month, or part thereof, until the tax rolls are returned to the County Treasurer pursuant to law.
All tax receipts will be held for 10 days when payment is made by check.  There will be an additional charge of $2 for all checks returned unpaid by the bank.
Take further notice that all taxes unpaid on April 30th will be returned to the Otsego County Treasurer.

In person tax payments will be received by appointment only.  Please call (607)988-2698, ext. 2, to schedule an appointment. Tax payments may be mailed to P.O. Box 468, Otego, NY 13825 or left in the Dropbox at the Municipal Building, 3526 State Highway 7, Otego, NY.

ONLINE debit/credit card and Echeck option is available.  Please go to taxlookup.net, under Otsego County and Town of Otego, to find your property tax amount.  Follow the instructions there for online payment.  The Echeck option is available at the end of the debit/credit process, so please proceed to the end for this option.
